"TINY DEATHS"

While 2020 hasn’t been the greatest year, the fact that I still am able to be an artist even with everything going on is an absolute privilege and I’m so grateful for the amazing support I have from all of you.

During this year, as I’m sure you can imagine, I’ve spent a lot of time in the studio. While I’ve been painting a ton, I’ve also been taking the time to think as well. Thinking about who I am and what I want my art to represent.

Just like a lot of you, I have also found myself online and on the unfortunate side of comparing my work/life to others. During these comparisons, I started to question the work I was doing and the way I was going about doing it. As I took a step back and looked at the bigger picture though, I noticed the dark narrative that stereotypical success as an artist means your work must eventually become inaccessible to most people. Charge more, create less and continue to push that true art collectors need to have a big bank account.

As I thought more about this though, I realized that’s not me, that will never be me and that’s not ever how I want my art to be shared with the world. As I continue to find my voice, I really want to focus on creating art for EVERYONE.

So, I’d like to present to you a new body of work titled “Tiny Deaths”. The collection is made up of a total of 50 pieces priced between $175-$225. Whether you’re getting your first piece or your 100th piece, this series has been created to help everyone build out a collection they love. For the first time collectors though, I hope this is the first of many wonderful experiences you have in the art world!
